One might assume there could be no reason why a treasonous plot to destroy the Palace of Westminster with casks of black powder should ever be forgot. However the denizens of London prove to be a fickle lot, and Kitty Canning's part in the near-obliteration of the Houses of Parliament is known only to a few—and one of those happens to be Princess Victoria, who keeps her cards very close to her chest.
Canning, a revolutionary of the Stonehouse Irregulars, was chosen to wheel a barrow of Serpentine Nitrate into the undercroft beneath Parliament, but encountered Victoria before she could see the plot through. Whatever transpired beneath Westminster is known only to those two (and possibly the MK killer robot on guard that night), but the pair emerged unscathed with the building above still in one piece. Soon thereafter Kitty was inducted into the princess's cadre of loyal Ladies-in-Waiting, and has been seen since in full porcelain ceremonial armour, wielding a Special Blazer Repeater with particular effectiveness. When asked why she departed her anti-monarchist anarchists for a position in the Royal Household, Canning responded: "What can I say? Vic knows how much I like making explosions". |
