As the Royal Navy transitioned its dominion from marine defence to space-borne engagements, new technologies absorbed from visiting aliens allowed Britain's spacecraft to travel vast distances at hyper-speeds—although the danger remains that, owing to the uncertain use of this complex, borrowed technology, not all vessels of a naval fleet will emerge in one piece from the hyperspatial vortex. Nonetheless, the Royal Navy has enjoyed countless victories over the enemies of the Realm, including the soaring heights of the Jupiter Wars. As the Empire continues to expand its borders, London's skies still buzz with ships of the Royal Fleet and Earth's own Home Pride Fleet. The sight of these magnificent vessels taking off from the Royal Space Docks is enough to make any proud Briton's heart swell to bursting. |
